Job Overview

To perform the role of a risk analyst including research and report-writing for corporate clients in need of a range of risk and security consulting services, reporting to the Indonesia-based Risk Information Service Line Head and Country Manager.

Key Accountabilities
1. Strategy

Work with the Risk Management Advisor/RIS Division Manager to develop and execute a strategy to grow the business, focusing primarily on Risk Information consulting in alignment with the regional and global risk consulting strategy. Support the Risk Management Advisor/RIS Division Manager to deliver RIS products, including:

  • Indonesia Risk Information Service (IRIS)
  • Researching and drafting reports for client-specific engagements
  • High-end research and other commissioned reports, as and when requested

The overall objective is to ensure the production of professional and timely reports that meet our clients’ demands and expectations as contracted, delivered in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

2. Operations – Risk Information Service (RIS)

Identify, research, and produce reports for clients on risk and security subjects based on set risk factors covered by our Indonesia Risk Information Service.

Support the work of the Service Line as follows:

  • Participate in early morning media reviews and team meetings.
  • Identify, research, translate and write draft reports for review by the Service Line Head.
  • Respond to client enquiries and briefings as required.
  • Early morning preparation, editing and transmission of the day’s first advisory and subsequent report products.
  • Proofread alerts and notifications before they are sent to Clients.
  • Take part in verbal updates and briefings with other Division Managers and Consultants as required.
  • Monitor Indonesian and international news so as to be ready to update clients as directed.
  • Support the production of other reports and products in the Risk Information Service Line.
  • Collaborate with analysts in other Asian countries where the company has a presence and contribute to their work as required or directed.
  • Update and maintain content databases as required.
  • Attend in-house and client meetings and briefings (online or in-person) as directed.
3. Marketing and Business Development
  • Strengthen and develop long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Maintenance of existing personal contacts developed through previous work experience.
  • Development and expansion of H&A information gathering resources and networks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of national, provincial, regional and world events in the field of politics, economics, terrorism, crime, etc. which are considered of interest to H&A Clients.
  • Work with the Risk Management Advisor/RIS Division Manager to develop and execute marketing, sales and business development strategy to grow the Risk Information Service Line in alignment with the country, regional and global risk consulting strategy.
  • Support other Service Line Heads, Country and Division Managers in the delivery of Risk Information products and services.
4. Administration Support
  • Assist the Service Line Head in all aspects of administration of the RIS service line to ensure that this is being carried out accurately and in a timely manner in the interests of efficiency and productivity.
  • Help maintain an updated template library of proposals, reports and presentations in order to facilitate a swift response to client requests and enhance team knowledge.
  • Take on other tasks required by the company that fall within the purview of the role.

Performance will be based on agreed targets set as part of an appraisal and objective setting process, which include:

  • Quality of research and analysis.
  • Ability to produce high-quality and timely reports.
  • Agreed marketing and business development KPIs.
Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with:

  • Indonesian nationality.
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English.
  • Bachelor’s (S1) degree in a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience of writing and editing high-quality pieces in English.
  • A deep understanding of the Indonesian and regional security, political and social landscape.
  • Well-developed research, analysis and report-writing skills.
  • A problem-solving and solution-oriented approach.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A dedicated work ethic and an eagerness to learn.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and on an individual basis.
  • Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and prioritise the workload to meet deadlines.
