Chaplain, Per Diem

Overview

Griffin Health is seeking a Per Diem Chaplain to join the Spiritual Care and Education Department. The ideal candidate will bring a compassionate, interfaith approach to spiritual care for our diverse patient and staff community and contribute to our mission of person-centered care.

• Provide interfaith spiritual care to patients, families, and staff across the hospital under the guidance of the Director of Spiritual Care and Education.
• Deliver direct spiritual support in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Lead and facilitate spirituality and support groups, as well as additional programming as assigned.
• Support community outreach, program development, and build partnerships within and beyond Griffin Health.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
• Perform in-hospital and on-call chaplaincy shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Offer clerical support and demonstrate computer literacy for administrative responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred (other relevant experience will be considered).

• Experience in Emergency Department chaplaincy and in diversity & inclusion work is strongly preferred.
• Must have experience in:
• Crisis Ministry
• Interfaith Chaplaincy
• Facilitating support and spirituality groups

• Compassionate presence and emotional maturity.
• Flexibility and willingness to serve in a per diem/on-call capacity, including weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
