Description

Elementary Teacher:
Tanglewood Elementary School is seeking a 5th grade elementary teacher for the  school year. Employee benefits include uncategorized PTO, paid parental leave and we accept PDC for salary placement. Salary is based on experience and education: $50,003 - $85,354. Salary schedule is available in the Certified Employee Master Contract handbook. ESOL Endorsement Requirements

Elementary classroom teachers, as well as middle and high school language arts teachers, are required to obtain an ESOL endorsement by the end of their third year with the district. Requirements for obtaining the endorsement are determined by the Kansas State Department of Education and may include coursework and/or passing the appropriate exam. The district provides access to a Canvas course to prepare for the exam and will reimburse the exam cost once the endorsement has been completed and added to the license.

Purpose: The Classroom Instructor creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. To respond to individual needs and abilities, the Instructor works closely with staff and school administration.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Current Kansas State Teaching License on file in the Central Office.
