Special Education Teacher

Step into a fulfilling opportunity making a difference at the elementary level as a Special Education Teacher focused on Extended School Year services. In this contract-to-hire position, you'll work one-on-one with a 1st grade student, providing essential behavioral and academic support in a positive environment. Administration is readily available on-site to ensure you have the backup and resources you need to succeed.

Ideal candidates will bring experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, Special Education Teacher, or BCBA, and demonstrate value for collaborative teamwork. Supporting young learners with behavioral needs, particularly those with Autism or ADHD, is at the heart of this role.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician, Special Education Teacher, or BCBA
• Experience working in school settings with behavioral interventions
• Familiarity with best practices for supporting students with Autism and/or ADHD
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Commitment to individualized instruction in a one-on-one setting

Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one academic and behavioral interventions to a 1st grade student
• Develop and modify instructional plans to address individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions accordingly
• Collaborate closely with on-site administrators and multidisciplinary team members
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment that addresses behavioral and learning needs

This is a full-time position offering a consistent schedule of 40 hours per week, allowing you the structure to build strong rapport with your student and see your impact firsthand.
