Senior Design Engineer – Derby

Contract/Staff Position

• Design components to customer specifications
• Create models and drawings with CAD
• Research new ideas and methods
• Improve products and processes
• Modify designs to meet requirements
• Ensure safety compliance
• Find creative solutions
• Support junior team members
• Present designs to customers

• Previous experience as a Senior Design Engineer or similar role
• Ability to work with the Mechanical Engineering Team to realize ideas
• Understanding of safety legislation
• High degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture
• Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar) for model and drawing creation
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Team centre or similar)
• Professional qualification in an engineering related field

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will require security clearance. To gain this, you will need to be a resident of the UK.
