Senior FPGA Design Engineer in Derby

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer who can design and develop complex FPGA architectures and support the complete FPGA design lifecycle.

• Develop FPGA architectures using VHDL and related toolsets.
• Conduct synthesis, place‑and‑route, and timing closure to meet performance targets.
• Develop and maintain supporting software and test scripts to maximize design efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and debug FPGA designs in a demanding environment.
• Capture and develop requirements for FPGA solutions.

• Thorough understanding of FPGA concepts and hardware design.
• Proficiency in VHDL design toolsets and verification suites.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Experience with tool‑chain scripting (e.g., Tcl, Python).
