PT Assistant/ Rehab Tech
Rehabilitation Technician Job in Wichita, KS
PT by Phoenix is a locally owned outpatient physical therapy organization committed to delivering high-quality, one-on-one patient care across its clinics throughout the Wichita area. We’re hiring for a Rehabilitation Technician job in Wichita, KS, on a per diem basis, working Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 6 PM and Fridays from 7 AM to 4 PM. Founded by clinicians, our practice focuses on clinical excellence, supportive teamwork, and meaningful patient relationships while running efficient, well-supported clinics, and as a rehab tech you’ll play a direct role in keeping that experience running smoothly for every patient who comes through the door.
This is a role for someone who wants steady, structured hours and a genuine reason to be in a healthcare setting each week, not just a way to fill time between other commitments.
As a Rehabilitation Technician, you’ll assist our therapists by gathering equipment and preparing treatment areas, and you’ll be one of the first people patients interact with during their visit. We build our care model around one-on-one attention, and that starts well before a patient sees their therapist, with a clean, organized space and a friendly, helpful presence at the front desk.
You’ll also support scheduling, paperwork, and basic computer work, and help with phone calls as needed, so our clinical team can stay focused on treatment rather than administrative tasks. Because the role involves helping patients and moving equipment, you should be comfortable safely lifting up to 50 pounds as part of the regular routine, and comfortable working in a busy clinic environment where several things are happening at once.
Starting Point for a Future in Healthcare
This role is a genuine starting point, not just a job on the side. It’s well suited to anyone interested in physical therapy or exploring a future career in healthcare, since you’ll be working alongside physical therapists and seeing patient care up close on a regular basis. We describe our clinics as places built around ongoing development and meaningful relationships, and that extends to support staff, not just clinicians.
You’ll have the chance to learn how a physical therapy clinic runs from the inside, from how treatment areas are set up to how a front desk keeps a full schedule organized, while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming space for the patients we see. If you communicate well, pick up basic computer tasks quickly, and want first-hand exposure to a clinical environment, this is a practical way to get it.
