Job Description:Performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammographic examinations and procedures in accordance with physician orders, regulatory guidelines, and departmental protocols. This role ensures patient comfort and safety, provides accurate imaging for interpretation by radiologists, and maintains compliance with MQSA and ACR standards while supporting a positive patient experience.
Job Responsibilities:- • Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows.
- • Supports breast center initiatives, such as accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities.
- • Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
- • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
- • Performs high-quality examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
- • Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
- • Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed.
- • Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
- • Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements.
- • Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps.
- • Performs other duties as assigned.

- • Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations [Required]
- • Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety [Required]
- • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
- • Ability to complete Mammography exams in a timely manner even under stressful condition [Required]
