Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and reliable Housekeeper Cook to join a welcoming family of four residing in a beautiful seven‑bedroom, three‑storey residence in Derby. The family consists of two adults and two young children aged one and three. They are seeking a professional with an eye for detail who can maintain their home to a high standard and prepare healthy, diverse meals.
Working as a professional Housekeeper Cook within a private family requires a high level of organisation, discretion and attention to detail. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness throughout the property, ensuring the home remains tidy and well-presented without deep cleans, caring for laundry and ironing, changing bed linen and preparing evening meals in line with the family’s balanced and health‑conscious diet (approximately 50% vegetarian, 25% white meat and 25% fish).
Twice per month the family entertains up to ten guests and you will assist with preparing high‑standard meals for these occasions. No childcare duties are required and the family cat does not require care.
This is a live‑out position based in Derby, a city with strong transport links including rail and bus connections, making the residence easily accessible by public transport for suitable candidates.
Duties- Maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of the seven‑bedroom, three‑storey residence to a consistently high standard (excluding deep cleans).
- Ensure all living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and communal spaces are tidy, organised and well‑cared for.
- Manage full laundry care, including washing, ironing, folding and wardrobe organisation.
- Change bed linen twice per week and keep bedrooms fresh and orderly.
- Prepare high‑quality evening meals for the family in accordance with their dietary preferences.
- Plan and prepare healthy and diverse menus, roughly 50% vegetarian, 25% white meat and 25% fish.
- Sourcing fresh ingredients and maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards.
- Support the family with entertaining duties twice per month, preparing meals for up to ten guests.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.
- Demonstrate reliability, efficiency and a strong eye for detail within the allocated four‑hour working day.
- Three or more years of private housekeeper cook experience.
- Two excellent checkable references.
- Conversational English.
- UK working permit.
