Vocational Tutor - Catering

Location: Derby City Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier) Contract: Long-term, Part-time Wednesdays and Thursdays

A welcoming Post-16 provision in Derby City is recruiting for a Catering tutor
to deliver engaging, practical qualifications to small groups of learners. This long-term roles offer stability, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on young peoples futures.

You will deliver practical catering qualifications including:

• Food preparation and cooking

• Kitchen safety and hygiene

• Menu planning and hospitality basics

• Confidence-building through real-life kitchen tasks

Ideal background: Professional catering or hospitality experience. Previous teaching or training experience is desirable.

• Experience working with Post-16 learners or young people with additional needs

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical sessions

• A calm, supportive and encouraging approach

• Relevant industry experience
