An esteemed and highly regarded secondary school in Nottinghamshire is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Science Technician to join their dynamic science department. This is a crucial support role dedicated to ensuring the smooth and safe delivery of high-quality practical lessons for both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with science teachers to prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons.
- Safely maintain, store, and repair laboratory resources and equipment.
- Act as a safety advisor, guiding pupils and staff on proper protocols, regulations, and safe working practices.
- Oversee stock levels and place timely orders for new materials and replacements.
- Ensure the safe and compliant disposal of hazardous laboratory waste.
- Valid right to work in the UK.
- A clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS check.
- A UK Science Degree (or recognized overseas equivalent).
- A strong working knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
