SAFETY TECHNICIAN

Derby | Permanent | Up to £31,000 DOE

Permanent opportunity with a well-established national business — depot-based in Derby, no field travel, salary up to £31k depending on experience and any relevant certifications.

You'll be testing, maintaining and calibrating survey and safety equipment for hire and customer use, keeping documentation in order and supporting customers when they need it. Hands-on, varied, and busy.

WHAT

THE ROLE INVOLVES

* Testing, maintenance and calibration of hire and customer-owned equipment

* Workshop upkeep and management of spare parts stock

* Digital and physical documentation — accuracy is important here

* Customer contact by phone and email

* Managing your own workload day to day

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

* Good IT literacy — the team runs both digital and physical systems

* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

* Ability to prioritise and work under pressure

* A practical, problem-solving mindset

* Any relevant certification (calibration, inspection, PAT etc.) is a plus — not essential

THE PACKAGE

* Up to £31,000 DOE / relevant certification

* Death in service, EAP, health and wellbeing support

* Depot-based — all work on site, no travel between depots
