The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join an expanding team supporting major supermarket and retail contracts across the Derby area.
This position would be well suited to a commercial refrigeration engineer who is keen to build further experience within the supermarket sector. You’ll have the opportunity to work with modern CO₂ refrigeration technology, with additional training in hydrocarbon refrigerants available for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities
As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment across supermarket and commercial environments.

Duties will include:
 
Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance
Responding to refrigeration breakdowns and diagnosing faults
Repairing and maintaining commercial and supermarket refrigeration plant
Working with CO₂ refrigeration systems
Completing PPM activities across customer sites
Producing accurate service reports following completed works
Maintaining excellent customer service standards
Taking part in the 1-in-4 on-call rota  What we're looking for

We're interested in speaking with engineers who have:
 
Previous hands-on experience within commercial refrigeration
A recognised F-Gas qualification
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
A full UK driving licence
A positive, professional approach to their work
The willingness and ability to learn new refrigeration technologies  Experience working with CO₂ systems would be beneficial, although this is not essential.
