POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.

Position Overview:

The IMAP Electrician is responsible for completing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance in accordance with the scope of work for their assigned team.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • On the first day at Post, attend the In-Brief Meeting, and assist in relaying the Team’s plans to complete their SOW, and to field additional tasks requested by the Facility Manager (FM); as well as attending any Security Briefings.
  • Assist teammates in coordinating access to PCC and other secure locations that might have limited access.
  • Work with teammates to coordinate any outages required for maintenance or repairs during the course of the visit.
  • Equipment within the team’s Electrical SOW may include, but is not limited to:
    Post Compound Grounding and Bonding Systems, Switchgear, Lightning Protection Systems, and Main/Sub Distribution power panels. This includes reviewing/documenting the integrity of all Lightning Protection systems, inspecting and documenting all Switchgear breakers, augmenting the grounding/bonding systems for the compound to reduce elevated ground fault current, measuring all phases of supply conductors to verify proper load balancing, verifying proper torque/tightness of all electrical connections, conducting an IR scan of all conductors, breakers and lug terminals to check for excessive operating temperatures, inspection of conductors for damaged insulation, improper installation, size in relation to overcurrent protection and general compliance with all NFPA, NEC, and DoS/OBO Standards and Specifications for fire protection, grounding and bonding.
  • Take part in the tour of the facilities, and create inventory of equipment within the Team’s SOW for Preventative Maintenance (PM). Assist teammates in updating the equipment inventory that the Team plans to PM during the visit.
  • While touring the Post, be observant of other electrical deficiencies that are not directly related to assigned electrical equipment. If these can be addressed during your visit, they should be added to the visit SOW as corrective maintenance. If not, they should be added as Remaining Deficiencies for Post follow up on in the Service Report for the visit. Bring these and all other found deficiencies to the attention of the FM or your POC.
  • Print-out International Maintenance Assistance Program (IMAP) checklists for each piece of electrical equipment that the team plans to PM.
