JIB Gold Electrician

My client, is seeking an experienced JIB Gold Card Electrician to join thier team on an industrial project ain Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and fault-finding work within industrial environments, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and growing team delivering projects across manufacturing facilities, processing plants, warehouses, utilities, and other industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install industrial electrical systems including containment, cable tray, trunking, conduit, ladder rack, SWA, and singles.
• Install and terminate power, control, and instrumentation cables.
• Install and connect motors, pumps, control panels, and distribution equipment.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial electrical systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and company quality standards.
• Complete job documentation accurately and on time.
• Work safely in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and site-specific procedures.
• Liaise professionally with supervisors, site managers, and clients.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workmanship.

Essential Requirements

• Valid JIB Gold Card (Electrician).
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Proven industrial electrical installation experience.
• Experience working on manufacturing plants, factories, processing facilities, utilities, or similar industrial environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Qualifications

• ECS Health & Safety Assessment.
• IPAF Licence.
• PASMA Certification.
• Comp Ex certification.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
• Experience with PLC control wiring and instrumentation.
• First Aid at Work qualification.
