Process Chemical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing process optimization and engineering support for the mill, including compliance process coordination, lean projects, quality and product safety, and analytical and systems support.
• Develop and maintain methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.
• Ensure that mill rules are enforced and that company policies are followed.
• Coordinate the efforts of outside resources to improve operations by filtering and utilizing appropriate information.
• Schedule and supervise mill and contract employees as required.
• Conduct data analysis projects and use data to make business decisions.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Pulp and paper industry, manufacturing experience preferred.

• Starting salary range for position: $85,000-$90,000.
• Paid Vacation:
  Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro‑rate vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
• Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages – medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
• Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre‑tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
