Senior Electrical Estimator

MTM Engineering has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our growing team based out of our Derry office. This is a hands‑on role with a responsibility to produce electrical tenders for both pre‑designed and design & construction projects along with estimating works working in a professional team.

Our expertise spans industry sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, critical infrastructure and more.

• Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission
• Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers.
• Communicating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers & clients
• Preparing take‑offs for LV/MV cabling and containment systems from drawings.
• Inputting take‑offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats.
• Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.
• Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.
• Develop strong inter‑departmental relationships working closely with contracts managers, QS’s and design/engineering department.

• Strong commercial experience in an estimator role
• Self‑motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
• High attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non‑technical clients.
