The Financial Controller is responsible for leading financial operations of the property, including financial reporting, accounting functions, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, purchasing, warehouse operations, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial information while supporting strategic decision-making and enforcing strong internal controls. The Financial Controller partners closely with operational leaders to improve financial performance and uphold Company policies, gaming regulations, and all Federal/State requirements.

The Financial Controller will uphold Company policy and adhere to all Federal/State regulations while promoting Internal Controls, Responsible Gaming, Bank Secrecy Act compliance, and Title 31 standards.

• Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with Company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Hires, trains, mentors, and leads accounting, finance, and purchasing team members to ensure strong performance, professional growth, and effective departmental operations.
• Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
• Produces, monitors and evaluates all reporting departments to ensure the proper planning for short- and long-term strategies, monitors and evaluates performance of all operations to facilitate ongoing improvement of operations and financial return.
• Reviews strengths and weaknesses of all reporting areas, and general and administrative functions, to most effectively implement changes to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources.
• Manages the preparation of, and reviews, financial reports to ensure reasonableness and completeness, and releases reports or directs revision of reports.
• Reviews and interprets unusual transactions, adjustments or unexpected financial results to determine the appropriate accounting treatment or outcome.
• Reviews the work activities of subordinate employees to ensure that work is being performed within the standards established by management.
• Promotes Responsible Gaming and Title 31 compliance.
• Maintains comprehensive industry familiarity with financial practices. Works closely with other property key personnel in exchanging information on financial activities and develops proper security measures to ensure the integrity of the operation.
• Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as applicable.
• Oversees preparation of WIN reports, TTM’s, general ledger (GL) reports, daily cash reports, charitable and tax filings, and operational financial statements.
• Creates and maintains financial closing schedules, including annual, quarterly, monthly, periodic, and required submissions for: P2E, NH Lottery, Gaming tax and regulatory filings
• Monitors actual vs. budget performance and provides variance analysis and recommendations.
• Some travel may be required between locations, to provide support, perform projects and or provide training.
• Take on and manage various projects as assigned in order to aid in achievement of evolving company goals and objectives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Oversees the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate processing, vendor compliance, and timely disbursements.
• Supervises Payroll operations to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely processing.
• Ensures purchasing practices follow internal controls, competitive quoting, and cost-savings measures.
• Oversees warehouse and delivery operations related to asset protection, receiving, and inventory controls.
