Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
Our PET/CT technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure, and put them h a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction every step of the way. They demonstrate their technical competence by effectively interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images, enabling physicians to diagnose accurately and treat confidently.
Working in various environments—outpatient centers, mobile units, or hospital-based facilities—our techs provide flexible, top-tier imaging care at any access point.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring patient safety through pre-screening, aseptic injection techniques, and radiation safety compliance, including proper documentation when handling radioactive materials.
- Producing high-quality diagnostic images.
- Communicating effectively with patients and radiologists.
- Training new technologists and/or patient care staff.
- Troubleshooting scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s Degree or higher preferred. - Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
- State license, as required.
- CPR certification required.
- 1-2 years of Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred.
- Ability to work across multiple locations.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Local travel may be required.
- COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
Physical Requirements:
- May be exposed to weather conditions when transporting patients on mobile units.
- Exposure to radioactive isotopes, ionizing radiation, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
- More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive hand/arm/leg movements; communicate with patients.
- Less than 50% of the time: stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting/moving patients.
