Job details
Brendan Kearney & Co Solicitors is seeking an experienced Legal Bookkeeper to join its busy law practice. This is a key role responsible for managing client and office accounts in full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Regulations issued by the Law Society of Northern Ireland, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining client and office ledgers.
- Processing receipts, payments, and transfers.
- Processing Payroll.
- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Managing billing, VAT returns, and supplier payments.
- Preparing financial reports for management.
- Supporting audit and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience in a legal bookkeeping role or Legal Accounts Manager.
- Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
- Experience with legal accounts software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- An excellent understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
