The Role at a Glance
The Case Taper is responsible for palletizing finished product cartons on the clean side of the processing plant while ensuring all packaged products meet our quality standards before shipment. This role performs a final inspection of finished cases, verifying product integrity, accurate date coding, and customer‑specific packaging requirements.
Responsibilities- On time punctuality and good attendance
- Stage materials for daily processing including pallets, cardboard, and pallet trays
- Change tape on machine in the morning or downtime
- Assist with labeling and staging of boxes or cartons as needed
- Palletize boxes per customer label
- Stack boxes neatly inspecting for any damage or compromise (return such to rework and/or waste)
- Monitor date code on finished cases per customer requirements (inform maintenance of issues)
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Frequent lifting up to 35-50 pounds
- Extended periods of time standing and walking up to 12 to 14 hours
- Frequent repetitive reaching motion with both arms
- Frequent grasping with hands and fingers
- Frequent bending and stooping
- Ability to keep up in a fast‑paced environment
- Dayshift position:
Start time 6:00 AM - Monday through Thursday
- Shifts up to 12 hours per day, based on operational needs
- Start and end times may vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes
