The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for building and managing the company’s day-to-day marketing function. As the first in-house marketing hire, this role will replace several external consultants and will own the execution of marketing initiatives across content, digital, product marketing support, trade shows, and communications. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that operates with a high degree of independence while aligning closely with strategic direction provided by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Duties

and Responsibilities include the following
  • Own and execute the company’s marketing calendar across digital, print, product, and event-related initiatives.
  • Translate high-level strategic direction into clear, actionable marketing plans and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain consistent messaging, branding, and tone across all marketing channels.
  • Create, manage, and update marketing collateral, including product data sheets, one-pagers, spec sheets, sales presentations, pitch decks, tradeshow materials, website graphics, and downloadable assets.
  • Develop creative content for social media, email campaigns, website content, press releases, product announcements, and internal communications.
  • Translate technical product and engineering information into clear, accurate, and customer-friendly marketing content in collaboration with product management, engineering, and sales teams.
  • Manage website content updates and coordinate with external web vendors and agencies as needed.
  • Lead and execute content-driven SEO initiatives and email marketing campaigns in partnership with external specialists when required.
  • Own marketing support for trade shows and customer events, including booth messaging, promotional materials, and pre- and post-show communications.
  • Manage relationships with external marketing vendors, designers, printers, and consultants, including scope definition, prioritization, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure marketing spend is efficient, well-managed, and aligned with company priorities and budget expectations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Leadership to support sales enablement and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day marketing needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. The incumbent must be able to build and maintain effective and credible relationships with key stakeholders and across all areas of the organization. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are key in this role.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 5–8 years of hands-on marketing experience (B2B preferred)
  • Experience in developing technical product marketing materials preferred
  • Technical or engineering-related industry experience a plus
  • Hands-on experience with design tools and marketing execution
Equipment/Software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools
  • Website content management systems preferred
