  • Scheduling requirements:
    Self-scheduling encouraged, EOW, OT ok if available, flexible scheduling
  • Floating policy: ICU may float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed
  • Patient Experience requirements: AIDET validation during orientation, unit is focused on Nurse Communication (nurses listen carefully and nurse explain things in a way patients can understand), white board use, hourly rounding, bedside care conference/hand off

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set: Medical and Surgical ICU experience. ACLS/BLS required. AIBP experience & CCRN preferred.

Procedures performed on unit: Ventilator care, Therapeutic Hypothermia, PCI/STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE/cardioversion, temp pacer, Sepsis, Stroke/TPA, DKA. ICU RNs are responders for Code Blue and Rapid Response Team
