• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Weekend Requirement:
  Every other weekend

PCU RN Qualifications

• Active Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License – must be valid at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience in a hospital setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Strong dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip management experience
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills
• Self-directed, confident, and positive attitude

PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU patients, including cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and recognizing dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care
• Utilize GE cardiac monitoring systems and Hospira IV pumps
• Accurately document patient care using Expanse EMR
• Float as needed to Med Surg, ICU (for border patients), and Emergency Department (ED holds)
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to all unit policies and healthcare guidelines
• Work every other weekend or as required by staffing needs
