Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of PCU experience and NIH Stroke Certification.

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification (NIHSS) required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting required
• Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and critical drip experience required
• Pre-post cardiac cath and pacer patient care experience preferred
• Prior HCA experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• PCU setting on the 2nd floor with 20 beds
• Staffed with 5 RNs and 2 LNAs per shift, flexing with patient volume
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps
• EMR:
  Expanse
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 13-week assignment
• Floating required to Med Surg, ICU (for border patients), and Emergency Department (for ED holds)
• Every other weekend rotation required or equivalent based on staffing needs
• Provide direct patient care within a progressive care unit setting
• Self-directed, confident, and positive candidates with strong communication skills are best suited for this team
• Professional attire required with no specific scrub color mandated
• Unit-specific guidelines and policies will be reviewed during interview and orientation
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months are permitted
