Position Summary

The Quality Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining all quality assurance and quality control functions within the manufacturing operation. This role ensures products meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and company standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Quality Manager oversees the company’s Quality Management System, ISO certification compliance, internal and external audits, warranty and corrective action processes, supplier quality, and manufacturing quality performance.

This position partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Support to ensure consistent product quality and operational excellence.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the company Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead ISO certification activities, internal audits, external audits, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, inspection standards, testing methods, and process controls.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Oversee manufacturing quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage warranty claims, customer complaints, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive action processes.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Support to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Manage supplier quality management, including supplier evaluations, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain calibration programs, inspection records, and quality documentation.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to quality personnel while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in cross‑functional operational and strategic initiatives to support company objectives.
  • Support customer quality reviews, technical discussions, and site visits as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing ISO‑certified quality systems (ISO 9001 required; additional certifications a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality processes, corrective action systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with warranty management and root cause investigation processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar certification preferred.
  • Experience in electronics, industrial manufacturing, controls, or combustion systems manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and customers.
