Responsible for supporting TRI-K's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing environment. Assists in implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting employee training, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in administering site-wide EHS programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments throughout manufacturing, warehouse, and laboratory areas.
  • Support Hazard Communication requirements, including SDS management, chemical labeling, and employee awareness.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and regulatory compliance files.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Track and report safety metrics, including incidents, near misses, corrective actions, and training completion.
  • Assist with environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste management and spill prevention programs.
  • Support employee safety training programs including PPE, chemical handling, forklift safety, emergency response, and respiratory protection.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities, evacuation drills, and spill response exercises.
  • Conduct workplace observations and identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve safety performance.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and R&D personnel to promote safe work practices.
  • Support internal and external audits including GMP, OSHA, ISO, customer, and regulatory inspections.
  • Assist with implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, occupational safety, chemistry, industrial hygiene, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements
  • Familiarity with chemical handling, PPE requirements, and hazard communication standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to maintain confidential and accurate records
  • Strong attention to detail

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, occupational safety, chemistry, industrial hygiene, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial environment.
  • Internship or co-op experience may be considered.
Certificates and Licenses
  • OSHA Certification preferred
  • First Aid / CPR Certification preferred
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, and laboratory environment
  • Exposure to chemicals, production equipment, and industrial processes
  • Frequent walking throughout the facility

    Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting, bending, climbing, and reaching
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including respirators when necessary
