The Residential Plumbing Salesperson is responsible for meeting with homeowners who have larger plumbing projects or replacement needs, evaluating the customer's situation, and developing appropriate solutions for their home.

This position represents Paul The Plumber in the home and is responsible for providing customers with a professional, educational, and comfortable buying experience consistent with our commitment to Service With a Smile .

The successful Plumbing Salesperson combines plumbing knowledge with strong communication and sales skills. The objective is to understand what the homeowner is trying to accomplish, identify appropriate solutions, clearly explain their options, and help the customer confidently make the best decision for their home.

Previous residential plumbing sales, plumbing service, installation, or related home-services experience strongly preferred.

Strong working knowledge of residential plumbing systems and common plumbing replacement projects.

Ability to evaluate a plumbing situation and develop appropriate solutions.

Ability to communicate technical information clearly to homeowners.

Strong listening, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Comfortable discussing significant project costs and asking customers to make purchasing decisions.

Organized and capable of managing multiple estimates, follow-ups, and active opportunities.

Ability to use tablets, smartphones, Service Titan, email, and other company technology.

Professional appearance and communication skills.

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Run company-provided residential plumbing sales opportunities and project leads.

Meet with homeowners to understand their plumbing concerns, goals, priorities, budget considerations, and long-term plans for the home.

Evaluate existing plumbing systems and job-site conditions.

Gather accurate measurements, photos, equipment information, and other details necessary to properly scope projects.

Identify appropriate plumbing solutions based on the customer's needs and the conditions of the home.

Present customers with clear options and explain the benefits, differences, warranties, and scope of each recommendation.

Sell residential plumbing projects including water heaters, tankless water heaters, boilers and applicable hydronic work, repiping, fixture upgrades, water and drain piping projects, and other plumbing solutions offered by Paul The Plumber.

Identify opportunities where additional company services, including water filtration, HVAC, or electrical, may appropriately benefit the customer.

Discuss available financing options, promotions, warranties, and applicable membership benefits.

Prepare accurate proposals with clearly defined pricing and scope of work.

Ensure customers understand what is and is not included in the proposed project.

Obtain all required customer approvals and signatures prior to scheduling work.

Coordinate with plumbing management and installation teams to ensure sold projects are properly scoped and can be completed as proposed.

Provide technicians and installers with complete job documentation, including photos, measurements, notes, equipment selections, and special job-site considerations.

Communicate promptly with customers and internal team members regarding questions, changes, or project concerns.

Follow up on outstanding estimates and unsold opportunities in accordance with company expectations.
