We are hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to join an Observability Platform team focused on building and enhancing a modern, cloud-native observability solution for metrics and traces using Open Telemetry (OTel).
This is a long-term contract opportunity (6-month increments with continuous extensions based on performance) on a highly collaborative team known for strong leadership, quick feedback, and a positive engineering culture.

What We’re Really Looking ForWe are looking for a strong software engineer first
, with excellent programming skills and practical cloud exposure
.
- Python OR
- Golang
- Either is fine — Java-only profiles will not be considered
- Hands-on experience with containerization
: - Kubernetes and/or Docker
- Cloud experience with:
- AWS (EC2, EKS preferred)
- Experience building, deploying, or supporting distributed systems at scale
- Design, build, and enhance cloud-native services supporting an observability platform
- Contribute to platform resiliency, security, and scalability improvements
- Work on metrics and tracing pipelines using Open Telemetry
- Collaborate within a small, empowered engineering squad
- Apply engineering best practices across CI/CD, testing, and automation
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with scalable, distributed systems
- Proficiency in Python or Golang
- Experience with Linux-based systems
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancers, routing)
- Experience deploying applications in cloud environments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, Cloud Formation, etc.)
- CI/CD experience using tools like Jenkins or equivalent
- Experience with observability tools such as:
- Prior experience working on logging, metrics, or tracing platforms
- AWS Cloud certifications
- Frontend exposure with React or Node.js
- Round 1: Live coding exercise
- AI-assisted IDE features must be disabled
