The successful candidate can expect to work 45 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends.

AboutThe Role
To prepare and supervise Breakfast to ensure this most important meal of the day is presented to Hastings standards.
Responsibilities- To take responsibility for the effective supervision of kitchen employees, to ensure efficient operation of the Breakfast function.
- To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
- To ensure company policies relating to stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored.
- To ensure the junior Kitchen team receive the appropriate training and coaching to provide effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
- To ensure the junior Kitchen team work to Hastings standards, providing feedback to deliver effective and efficient service.
- To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
- To ensure the security of kitchen and storage areas is maintained.
- To ensure the kitchen areas, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained.
- To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by Management.
- Right to Work in the United Kingdom
- Previous experience at a similar level gained within a high quality catering operation
- Possess an NVQ level 2 or the equivalent in Food Preparation and Cooking
- Hold a recognised current Food Hygiene Certificate
- Good communication skills
- Experience as a breakfast Chef
- Educated to GCSE Standard or the equivalent including English and Maths

Salary£30,000.00 Yearly
