Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Audi Coventry. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm including Saturdays on a rota basis.
We offer industry leading basic salaries & bonus and are reflective of each applicant’s experience and skillset. Basic Salary up to £37,000 with OTE up to £42,000 plus benefits. As a Technician at Listers, you will be at the forefront of utilising our state of the art systems to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with all vehicles. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our customers’ vehicles, providing outstanding customer support, and collaborating with different departments across the business to achieve goals.

Role and Responsibilities- Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
- Repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
- Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
- Have a full understanding of customer satisfaction and its impact on the business.
- Operate additional systems, such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
- Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
- Work closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.
- Experience working in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
- Hold or be working towards completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- MOT Licence is beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Demonstrate good mechanical and electrical knowledge and an ability to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
