Commercial Vehicle Technician

Brook Street Recruitment is partnering with a well-established client in Coleraine to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

As part of a dedicated team, you'll play a key role in keeping a fleet of commercial vehicles safe, compliant, and road‑ready. You'll be involved in everything from routine servicing to complex diagnostics and full vehicle rebuilds.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a fleet of HGVs
• Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete repairs efficiently and in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Undertake electrical work, strip‑downs, and rebuilds
• Work collaboratively with the parts team to ensure correct components are used
• Accurately complete job cards, service sheets, and time records
• Identify and report vehicle defects to the Workshop Supervisor
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Support apprentices and trainees as required
• Road test vehicles and attend breakdowns when necessary (if qualified)

• Time‑served HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• A proactive and safety‑conscious approach to work
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
