- Starting Salary £36000 Your New Company Our client is located within a specialist site in the north-west of NI. Your New Role Whilst working as part of the Engineering team your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for carrying out maintenance of plant and machinery to ensure delivery of safe and efficient site operations
* Maintain plant and specialist equipment to the highest operational standards
* Identify hazards associated with plant and equipment and take appropriate corrective action
* Carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with the site's Safe Systems of Work to prevent harm to all personnel and damage to equipment, investigating any query or issue raised in relation to safety
* Responsible for maintaining all equipment certifications in line with regulatory standards / relevant codes / statutory requirements, and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date
* Complete and retain necessary documents ensuring records are maintained and updated. Log and resolve fault records with asset management software system to ensure comprehensive maintenance tracking and defect resolution
* Prioritise, schedule and conduct planned maintenance tasks on all services, systems, cranes and equipment within the site, coordinating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and service contractors where required
* Diagnose various electrical systems and equipment within the site, including heavy plant/machinery
* Carry out minor electrical repairs
* Provide guidance and mentorship to workshop apprentices, providing on-the-job training, technical guidance and safety instruction. Manage and maintain tools, materials and company vehicles as required to support maintenance activities, including the procurement of parts and equipment to complete repairs
* Provide assistance to other members of the engineering team which will involve working with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems
* Provide out of hours and weekend engineering cover as a member of the engineering team as directed
* Liaise and assist with health and safety and insurance inspectors when required
* Procure appropriate spare parts or arrange specialist parts repair in order to complete services and repairs
* Accountable for personal time management to ensure delivery of an effective and efficient services within the site that has the flexibility to meet fluctuating work demands
* Committed to continuous improvement and identifying and implementing improved systems of work. What You'll Need To Succeed In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential Criteria Served a recognised mechanical or electrical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
* A time-served mechanical or electrical fitter with at least 3 years' experience
* Minimum 12 months experience of electrical maintenance on vehicles/machinery
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to prioritise your own workload to ensure that repairs are completed within target times
* Full current driving licence or, in the case of disabled applicants, access to a form of transport to enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post in full
* Proficient IT skills to include experience using MS Office including email systems. Desirable Criteria

Experience of maintenance and repair of mobile harbour cranes, skid steers or wheel loaders
* Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic systems, ideally gained through hands-on work or similar marine environments
* Experience using asset management or maintenance software systems
* Skilled across electrical, mechanical & hydraulic systems in heavy machinery. What You'll Get In Return
