MV Switchgear Electricians

We are recruiting Temporary & Permanent MV Switchgear Electricians for a global manufacturer of critical power infrastructure at its switch gear manufacturing facility near Derry.

The site builds medium voltage switch gear and power systems for data centres and critical infrastructure worldwide. Demand is high and the team is being built up now.

It's factory work in one location, with a minimum of 40 hours a week guaranteed.

Temporary salary is from £27 - £33 per hour.

• Building, wiring and assembling MV and LV switch gear and switchboards
• Wiring control and protection circuits from schematics and wiring diagrams
• Busbar assembly, terminations and internal cabling
• Checks and testing as part of the build process
• Working to quality standards and build documentation
• Reporting to a Team Lead within a structure position

• Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, AM2)
• Experience building or wiring switch gear, switchboards or control panels
• Confident working from schematics and wiring diagrams
• MV experience preferred; strong LV switch gear and panel builders will be considered
• ECS Gold Card and 18th Edition desirable
• Existing right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)

• £27 to £33 per hour depending on experience
• Guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week
