Sr. Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support the accounting function with a strong focus on account reconciliations, monthly close, and general ledger activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting audits and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities

Prepare and maintain balance sheet and bank reconciliations

Record, review, and analyze journal entries

Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger

Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Support audit requests and provide documentation to internal and external auditors

Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies

Assist with process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures

Support AP, AR, and payroll accounting as needed

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong understanding of GAAP

Proven experience with reconciliations and monthly close

Proficiency with accounting systems and ERP software (e.g., Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
