We are seeking a Staff Accountant to prepare financial records and preparing and filing payroll, and sales and income tax returns for their clients!

This is a full-time contract-to-hire opportunity where you will earn a starting salary up to $70,000, based on your experience. You will work Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is 100% in the office.

To qualify for the Staff Accountant position, you must have previous experience in accounting. In addition, we require:

• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting is a plus
• Experience with income tax return preparation is a plus
• Prior experience in a public accounting firm is a plus
• Knowledge of Quick Books / other accounting software
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong attention to detail

Your responsibilities will include preparing financial records. Some of your other daily responsibilities will be:

• Preparing accounting records
• Preparing financial statements and other financial reports
• Running payroll for multiple organizations
• Filing quarterly payroll tax reports
• Making tax deposits
• Filing sales tax returns
• Assisting with income tax preparation
• Other duties as assigned
