Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting, Financial Compliance
Position Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join a leading multi-entity organization with operations across the United States. This contract-to-hire opportunity will oversee daily accounting operations, lead the financial close process, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives.
Essential Duties- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
- Partner with FP&A, payroll, tax, and operational teams.
- Maintain internal controls and recommend process improvements.
- Support audits, ERP initiatives, and special accounting projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 2+ years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience managing month-end close and account reconciliations.
- CPA preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP and accounting systems.
- Sage Intacct experience is preferred.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports.
- Experience performing account reconciliations.
- Knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience using accounting automation and financial close management tools.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Focus on identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

SalaryRange
A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $50 – 60.
