Accounts Payable Specialist

Description A growing mid-sized company in the Des Moines metro is seeking an Accounts Payable Representative to support its accounting team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience processing high-volume invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Key Skills &

Qualifications:

Process full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, matching, and payment processing.

Experience working with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and account reconciliation.

Strong understanding of AP procedures, vendor management, and resolving invoice discrepancies.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment. Requirements

What We're Looking For:

2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal departments and vendors.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
