Acts as a benefits coordinator and leave administrator. Assists others in the department as needed.

** Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
* Acts as an insurance coordinator.
* Assists new and current employees during benefit meetings, open enrollment, and questions.
* Complies, send, organizes, changes and maintains job description spreadsheet, job descriptions and reviews
* Assist others in the department when needed.
* Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
** Secondary
Duties and Responsibilities:
*** Assist with set up and organizing of Hy-Vee functions as needed.
* Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
** Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
*** Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions; several concrete variables.
* Must possess the ability to do mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
* Able to make appointments and process mail; write form letters or routine correspondence; interpret written work instructions, and have increased contact with people.

* Education and Experience:
*** High School or equivalent experience.
* Basic computer knowledge helpful.
* One to three years of similar or related work experience.
** Supervisory Responsibility (Direct Reports)****:
** None.

* Physical Requirements:
*** Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
* Visual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to 20 feet or more with or without correction.
* Must be able to perform the following physical activities:
Pulling, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
** Working Conditions**:
The duties of this position are performed in an office setting. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a day.
** Equipment Used to Perform Job:
** WMS system, PC with word processing and spreadsheet software, 10-key calculator, telephone switchboard, fax, copier and mainframe.

** Contacts:
** Has daily contact with customers, general public, community or trade/professional organizations, federal/state governmental and or regulatory agencies.
