Reporting to the Associate Registrar, this role is central to the academic rhythm of the university, ensuring that courses, exams, and classroom spaces come together seamlessly each term. The Academic Scheduling Manager serves as a strategic partner to academic leadership, faculty, and students, translating curriculum requirements into a balanced, equitable, and efficient schedule.
Combining analytical expertise, sound judgment, and strong collaboration skills, this role supports a complex, deadline‑driven environment while serving as the campus expert for academic scheduling systems and processes.
- In collaboration with College Administration and Course Directors/Assistants, manage the course scheduling process for all programs; this also includes oversight of exam schedules and resolving potential scheduling conflicts as necessary.
- Manage the centralized academic scheduling cycle, including leading program scheduling discussions, working with campus partners to ensure appropriate resources are available, resolving conflicts, and providing support to Course Staff involved in scheduling.
- Maintain current and accurate course schedule data and stay informed of changes that affect scheduling and registration.
- Integrate information, preferences, and recommendations from faculty, students, college deans, associate deans, department chairs, and program chairs to make subjective determinations required for balancing academic program needs with efficient and streamlined scheduling.
- Collaborate with the Associate Registrar and Registrar to establish and maintain a process to regularly analyze classroom utilization and scheduling processes. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing procedures and policies, research best practices, and implement improvements in scheduling operations, functions, and workflow. Work collaboratively with ITS to create reports to assist in the evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of one year of scheduling experience or three years of related administrative experience required.
- Academic scheduling experience preferred.
- Previous administrative work in higher education preferred.

The salary range for this role is $63,000 – $68,000 depending on experience.
