What You’ll Do
The Sr Administrative Assistant on the RIS - Administrative Team is responsible for providing mid‑level leaders with a broad range of administrative support. This individual will regularly interact with leaders at various levels, managing calendars, coordinating projects, supporting meetings, and performing other value‑added tasks as directed by business needs. The role ensures efficient management of day‑to‑day operations, including scheduling, meeting preparation, communications, and project assistance.
The Sr Administrative Assistant balances multiple priorities, acts as a reliable resource, and models high standards of service excellence across the administrative community.
- Day‑to‑day calendar management for mid‑level leaders, including scheduling and managing availability, handling meeting logistics, processing meeting requests, and organizing meeting materials.
- Provide moderate to heavy inbox management, connect diverse communication channels, and assist in prioritizing information for the person(s) supported. Offer high‑level training and guidance on technology platforms such as travel and expensing systems and other department‑specific tools. Coordinate or draft monthly reports, order supplies, manage role and access requests, assist with onboarding new employees, research and book travel arrangements, and handle expense management.
Initiate some HR tasks on behalf of the supported employee. - Participate in business‑value driven departmental or business‑wide projects of complex nature tied to strategy and business plans with broader organizational impact.
- 4+ years of related experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education. High school diploma required, associate degree preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to gather and consolidate data from various sources.
- Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities and able to handle confidential information.
- Keyboarding and proficiency in Windows‑based computer applications (Microsoft Office) and operation of office equipment.
- Some light travel may be required.
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non‑sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
$24.21 – $32.43 / hour
Time Off ProgramPersonal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non‑exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use PTO for vacation, personal or short‑term illness.

Work EnvironmentThis role will be located at our downtown Des Moines, IA location working a hybrid schedule. You will work with your leader on those expectations.
