The Iowa Judicial Branch, in Polk County, seeks applicants for a Judicial Operations Clerk to perform a wide variety of clerical, secretarial, customer service, and data entry functions for efficient Juvenile Court Services operations and the integrity of court records.
This position will create/process case-related documents such as letters, police complaints, restitution orders, warrants, applications, motions, complaints, exhibits, and other official case and court-related documents. This position will provide customer service to assist Juvenile Court Services users in-person and on the phone with general requests. This position will also provide customer service and support for case information and processing for attorneys, judges, law enforcement, and other agencies.
This position will participate in state and district level work groups to ensure efficiency and uniformity in processes.

The successful candidate willbe a team player with the ability and desire to assist Juvenile Court Officer sand fellow team members; have the flexibility to adapt to constantly changing situations; be highly organized, detail oriented, with excellent communication and computer skills; and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

The?pay?range for this position is $21.98 - $34.74 per hour. This is a contract-covered, FLSA non-exempt position.?
The starting salary for new state employees?is expected to be at the base of the pay range. Adjustments may be made if the successful candidate has relevant experience.?

Support the daily operations of a courtroom, courtroom preparations, and judicial officers for efficient court operations.??
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities- Administer daily courtroom operations, courtroom preparation services, judicial?officers?support, jury management, and trial preparation services.?
- Ensure resources, equipment, services, and ADA accommodations are arranged, recorded, and delivered.
- Conduct courtroom preparations, including electronic device setup and digital recording management software use.?
- Assist?judicial officers during proceedings or other court-related sessions.?
- Assist?judicial officers by preparing orders, rulings, memoranda, correspondence, etc., as needed.??
- Provide customer service by responding to inquiries from judicial officers, court employees, attorneys, and the?general public.?
- Assist?with documentation, filing, and record-keeping services.?
- Other duties as assigned.??
- Knowledge and understanding of court operations and?case?flow management.?
- Ability to provide support for a judge, such as calling parties into the courtroom for the next proceeding,?assisting?with exhibits, and drafting correspondence and orders.?
