The Global Stewardship Engagement Lead enables successful seed product commercialization by leading stewardship launch stakeholder strategy, market readiness, and external value chain engagement for Vylor biotechnology product innovations, including genetically modified and genome-edited crops. This role protects enterprise freedom to operate by aligning Product Stewardship, Regulatory, R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain, Portfolio, Government & Industry Affairs, Legal, licensees and grain trade stakeholders.

The leader develops stewardship frameworks, assesses export market and grain trade markets, builds stakeholder engagement plans, and translates strategy into practical launch commitments that support responsible product movement from seed to end use.

Key Responsibilities Stewardship Advocacy, Launch Strategy & Market Enablement
  • Lead the broad communication and advocacy function within the RAS Stewardship team to drive awareness and responsible support for Vylor’s stewardship practices across the company and industry
  • Lead stewardship launch policies and planning for genetically modified and genome-edited platforms, including overseeing export market assessment, market access requirements, grower capabilities, and asynchronous regulatory approval challenges
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Stewardship, Regulatory, R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain, Portfolio, Government & Industry Affairs, Legal, and regional teams to integrate stewardship principles into pre-commercial and launch activities.
  • Assess and mitigate grain trade and market access; develop contingency plans for launches and support issue resolution when grain movement or market access concerns arise.
  • Establish launch success metrics, track progress, communicate updates to leadership, and promote best practices that build credibility and enable future launch opportunities.
  • Develop post-patent and lifecycle stewardship processes to meet regulatory commitments, responsibly phase out technologies, and sustain market access.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop and execute value chain engagement strategies with grain trade, processors, exporters, licensees, and other partners to support market readiness and product acceptance; collaborate and align with industry affairs and commercial teams in customer advocacy efforts
  • Identify, negotiate, and implement strategic partnerships and stewardship agreements with third-party grain trade partners in collaboration with Legal; manage accountability, expectations, and conflict resolution.
  • Lead advocacy and engagement strategies with licensee networks
  • Represent Vylor on relevant industry boards, committees, or working groups as needed.
Stewardship Program Development & Execution
  • Design and implement stewardship programs, standards, and training that support pre-launch and launch activities across regions and value chain participants.
  • Monitor adherence to stewardship requirements, address gaps proactively, and support grain trade partners in meeting implementation obligations.
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to internal stewardship policies, global standards, external regulatory frameworks, documentation, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of stewardship governance and represent Vylor’s position with industry groups, partners, and agencies to promote common standards.
