Position Overview

The company is seeking a Project Manager to support and lead commercial construction projects throughout the Des Moines metro area.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, collaborating with field teams, and taking ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have experience managing commercial construction projects while maintaining strong communication with owners, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination efforts
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and overall performance
  • Support buyout and subcontractor procurement activities
  • Conduct project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve project challenges proactively
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
  • 3+ years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, or similar construction management software
  • Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
