Des Moines, IA / Hybrid in office / Each week
** No 100% remote must be able to drive onsite to the office weekly!

Salary: DOE up to $135K base + bonus. Prefer experience.

Looking for:

• General commercial construction experience, managing subcontractors for commercial vertical large projects.
• Must have detailed cost estimation end to end projects.
• Must have vendor, contractor experience to coordinate w/ architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors. External relationship building is key.
• Mix of technical construction knowledge, project coordination experience, and the ability to work effectively w/design professionals, and subcontractors.

What You Will Do?

• Use construction commercial tools such as Smart Sheets & MS Project. Adept at construction project management. Manage costs & budget.
• Manage and support commercial construction and development projects from kickoff through completion of engineering and build process.
• Review & own all construction project documentation including project plans, specifications, contracts, and other relative & potential construction documentation
• Monitor contracts, schedules, budgets, site progress, and overall project performance. Own the project progress.
• Understanding of construction safety & quality. Conduct site visits to inspect quality, & compliance with safety standards
• Assist with bidding, contractor selection, procurement, and preconstruction planning
• Identify project risks
• Status updates and communicate progress project stakeholders efficiently
• Manage project details in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations

MUST HAVE

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required
• PE license is a huge +
• 4–10 years of experience in construction, project engineering, or project management
• Experience from preconstruction design initiation through close.
• Strong construction processes, safety, vendors, materials, regulations
• Ability to read and interpret commercial blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
• Must be highly organized, highly communicative, and strong problem-solving skills.
