Role

Summary:

As a Project Engineer at Hildreth Construction, you’ll play a critical support role throughout all phases of construction projects, from planning to closeout. You will assist in coordinating efforts between teams, maintaining documentation, resolving field issues, and ensuring our projects stay on budget. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, eager to learn, and enjoys being part of a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, update, and distribute construction documents, drawings, and logs
  • Support RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation
  • Monitor subcontractor progress, schedules, and deliveries
  • Assist in preparing and updating project and lookahead schedules
  • Track project costs, assist with estimating and take-offs
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes and punch list reports
  • Coordinate closeout documentation and warranty information
  • Provide hands‑on support in the field and office
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
  • Comfortable reading drawings, purchase orders, and cost codes
  • Collaborative attitude with a desire to learn and grow
  • Leadership potential and openness to coaching and development
