Job Characteristics

Goetze Dental is seeking an energetic, outgoing, motivated individual with a desire to explore the ever‑changing landscape of the dental industry. The position requires a person who is constantly on‑the‑go and may need to visit multiple offices in a single day. In each location the technician may face unique service issues and must combine knowledge, experience and available resources to diagnose and repair the problem.

Success in this role demands organization, a sense of urgency, creativity, high detail orientation and strong written and verbal communication skills. A Goetze Service Technician is responsible for providing a superior customer experience throughout all aspects of a customer’s service needs.

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Flexibility in schedule to accommodate occasional overtime work, including possible overnight travel
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds – job requires lifting, loading and unloading heavy equipment
• Ability to comply with the company uniform and dress policy

• Provide on‑site repair, delivery, installation and maintenance of dental equipment in a courteous and professional manner
• Determine parts, supplies and/or tools necessary to complete service requests and ensure customer acceptance before continuing service
• Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment when necessary
• Provide alternative equipment options when necessary
• Maintain a clean and professional van, obey all traffic laws, and keep appropriate levels of van inventory
• Comply with Enterprise Fleet Management, Driver Check and Goetze Dental Dress Code policies
• Attend all required manufacturer, Federal/State and company trainings and follow their guidelines for repair, movement or modification of equipment
• Utilize SAP Field Service Management and Goetze Dental Procedures to process work orders
• Submit all job‑related paperwork within the required time frames
• Work closely with assigned dispatcher to schedule calls and improve routes
• Communicate with all team members
• Understand and utilize the basic Goetze systems: email, phone, internet, Paycor, SAP, etc.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required

An ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent); technical training in the medical and electronics field is preferred. General mechanical aptitude with prior experience in dentistry, medical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electricity and/or electronics is preferred. A preferred candidate will have working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, Windows‑based programs, computer systems and other peripherals. Strong candidates demonstrate competencies in customer service, organization, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
