UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for PRN Hospitalist Physician to join our team in Des Moines, IA.

* Established team of 33 physicians and 13 Advanced Practitioners

* Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff

* PRN - 10-12 hours shifts

* Day, swing and night shifts available

* Closed ICU

* Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

* Average of 15-18 patients per day; no nights or weekends

* Dedicated admitters and dedicated hospitalist nursing staff

* No procedures and no codes

* Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment

* Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

* MD or DO

* Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine

* Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of IA

* Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice

* Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
