This position will remain open until filled.

Academic and Behavior Technician supports special education practitioners by collecting and documenting data for Child Find evaluations, conducting interviews with students, educators, and/or parents, observing instruction, and performing related tasks under the direction of a special education practitioner.

• Review student records and summarize important information related to the student's education program.
• Conduct interviews with students, educators, or parents.
• Conduct observations of students and instructional activities.
• Assist with assessments of students without interpretation.
• Assist with preparing materials and scheduling activities.
• Assist with data collection and documentation as directed.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Respond to changing educational needs and environments.
• Maintain confidentiality related to agency, district, students, and family information.
• Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA), and agency policies.

• Attend work on a prompt and regular basis.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public, students, and other employees.

  Education and Experience:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field.

  Licensed by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
