Description

The Youth Development Professional (YDP) provides guidance, mentorship, and role modeling to children and/or teens, helping them develop social skills, self-confidence, and positive behaviors. They supervise groups of youth, manage discipline when necessary, and maintain a safe environment for all participants. YDPs are expected to exhibit a warm, positive, and caring attitude, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging youth participation.

Requirements

Be a friendly face, mentor, and positive role model, providing guidance after school & during the summer.

  • Promote a safe environment
  • Assist in the implementation of club programs, games, & activities
  • Promote participation and assist in orienting & recruiting new members
  • Participate in staff meetings etc.
  • Participate in special initiatives and events
  • Ability to earn mandatory CPR and first aid certification
  • May be required to drive the Club vans
